What happens after I submit the contact form?

Once your form comes through I will reach out within one to two business days to schedule a free phone consultation. That call is a chance for me to hear a little about what you're facing, answer any questions you have about the process, and figure out together whether this feels like the right fit. There is no obligation and nothing to prepare — just a conversation.

Do I need to know exactly what I want to work on before I reach out?

Not at all. Most people who contact me for the first time are not entirely sure how to name what they're carrying — they just know something needs to change. You don't need to arrive with a diagnosis, a treatment goal, or even a clear explanation of what's wrong. That is what the first few sessions are for. Reaching out is enough.

Can I reach out on behalf of someone else, like a spouse or family member?

Yes — and it happens more often than you might think. If you are trying to find help for a partner, a family member, or someone you care about who is struggling, feel free to reach out and I will do my best to point you in the right direction. If I am not the right fit for their situation, I know many excellent therapists in the DFW area who are taking clients and I am happy to make a connection.

Is the information I share in the contact form kept private?

Yes. Everything you share through the contact form comes directly to me and is treated with the same confidentiality as any clinical communication. I do not share your information with anyone. The form asks only for what I need to follow up with you — your name, contact information, preferred location or format, and a brief description of what you're looking for.

What if I'm not sure I'm ready for therapy — is it still worth reaching out?

Absolutely. Uncertainty about whether you're ready is one of the most common reasons people hesitate to contact a therapist — and it is not a reason to wait. The free consultation exists precisely for this moment. It costs you nothing, requires no commitment, and gives you the information you need to make a decision you feel good about. Many of my clients tell me that reaching out was the hardest part. I want to make that part as easy as possible.
